How do I make picks for another player?


As the game runner, you can pick a square for another player. Maybe it's someone that can't access the internet, or maybe you want to fill in blank squares.

If the player already exists, hit "Pick a Superbowl Square". Then put in HIS user name, but use the game runner password. This will let you pick a square for an already existing user.

If the player doesn't exist yet, you'll need to create his player. Click "Pick a Superbowl Square" and enter the Initial password. It will come to a new screen and ask you for the new password for this player. Make up a new password for him. Then you can proceed on to make the picks.

How does the site recognize me as the game runner?


To be recognized as game runner, you simply log into the program with the game runner password. That would be used on any of the menu items listed under GAME RUNNER OPTIONS: e.g. Modify Pool, Automatically Generate Random Numbers, etc. So the game runner uses the game runner options menu, everyone else uses the player menu which is at the top. Any time you use one of the game runner options menu selections, you have to enter the game runner password, not the player password.

How do I pay for my square?


To pay for your square, you need to contact your game runner. This is the person that gave you the initial password to sign in. He or she will let you know how to pay, and so on

Please don't ask us to take payments. We don't take payments for any squares pools. That's all between you and your game runner. The only thing we take payments for is the upgrade to Squarespool Pro.

How do I know who my game runner is?


In order to get signed in to the pool, you need to know the initial password. It came to you from your game runner. That person is your game runner. Either he emailed you, messaged you, or told you in person.

This is the person who is running the game. Squarespool.com has no knowlege of what his or her rules are, or how the game is run. We just created the web site. So your game runner is the person to ask about anything having to do with your particular game.

I tried to generate my random numbers and it didn't work: why?


When generating the random numbers, please make sure to sign in with your game runner password. Not your regular password. It won't work if you sign in with your regular password.

But be careful! Once you generate the numbers, the squares are locked, no more squares can be picked!

How do I update scores for the game: the score for each quarter?

  1. Click the link to "Pick a Superbowl Square" but use your game runner password NOT your normal password.
  2. If you used the game runner password, you will see a new button: Update Scores
  3. Fill in the scores for quarters 1-3 and the final score.
    • Note: if your rules go by the end of the 4th quarter score, enter that. There has only been 1 Superbowl so far that has gone into overtime so this probaby won't be a factor.
  4. Hit the Update Scores button. It seems like it doesn't do anything, but the scores do get updated.
  5. If you exit and go back into "Pick a Superbowl Square using your regular (not game runner) password, you should
  6. see your updated scores. You should also see the winning boxes highlighted.

How do I change my player name?


To change your player name, first contact your game runner, he can delete your square. Then sign back in under the new name you want to use (just make up a new name, or use an existing one if you have one). Then you can pick the square under your new name.

In the pro version, the game runner has a "change name" option. There he can just put in old name, and new name, and all your picks will be automatically updated.
